Everyday Foley Sounds

Household actions, water, and metal textures for close-up edits and everyday scenes. Compare sounds by the action they accompany, then open an individual file for its available formats and editing notes.

Small Objects and Hand Actions

Pen mechanisms, brittle food shells, and a pressurized spray each suggest a different material and movement. Match the sound to the object on screen rather than using the same click for every action.

Striking and Lighting

Compare the scrape and ignition of a match with the metallic mechanism of a lighter. These are small foreground actions; their timing and level should follow the visible movement and camera distance.

Water in Everyday Settings

A carbonated drink pour combines liquid with fizz, while a lawn sprinkler combines water spray with mechanical rhythm. Neither serves the same role as a broad rain background.

Metal Contact and Friction

Use strikes when the edit needs a distinct contact and ringing tail. Grinding is the alternative for sustained friction or mechanical movement; the two can also be placed as separate layers in a workshop scene.
